The Hamptons & Long Island Homegrown Cookbook hits retail bookstores |
Today was pretty much the first day my book, The
Hamptons & Long Island Homegrown Cookbook premiered at retail bookstores.
It was a perfect morning for a foodie: the morning spent
gathering spring recipe ingredients for my husband’s birthday dinner.
It was a sunny spring day with lots of exuberance and
excitement at my local greenmarket, Union Square.
Mint, green garlic, upstate pork… salad greens, cherries,
raspberries, and later, a premier visit to the Grand Opening of Agata & Valentina fine food market for
cheese, salumi and homemade chocolate gelato.

You have to love Zoe's Greenmarket art! Here she is creating the other side of sandwich board. She said it will be the rapper response to this side! |
The key ingredient for Melissa Clark's New York Times weekly recipe, featured on Wednesdays. The farmer get a free pass for noting it is a Tuesday NY Times post! |
Then, a discovery visit to the Barnes & Noble bookstore
on Union Square to see the book on retail bookshelves.
It was a heart-stopping, misty-eyed moment to see the book
there.
There, amidst the cooking greats, and right above chef
Ferran Adria, was my pride and joy.
What a dream come true…
